Hi anon!
The “White Book of Capitalism & Democracy” does a decent job of detailing the crimes of the “democratic” capitalist nations in world history. Someone else attempted an estimate and came to the conclusion that capitalism has killed at least 205,000,000 people. Other estimates come to a death rate of 20,000,000 a year.
You also have to consider the ongoing Biocrisis and the Sixth Great Extinction precipitated by capitalist expansion and the commodification of the natural world.
Every person who starves to death in the “developed” world, who dies from lack of clean water, who dies after being made homeless, who dies from being denied medicine or vaccines, who dies from a storm or drought or flood made worse by climate change – they die because of capitalism.
To paraphrase Murray Bookchin, to deny the means of life is not theft – it is outright homicide.
