Someone explain the Godzilla Fandom please there is a vulcano dinosaur, a shiny blue water butterfly and a three headed dragon, and I’m just like??? What ARE THOSE? WHAT DID I MISS? THEY look so freaking aMAziNG

So here’s the rundown!

The butterfly (or more accurately a moth) is Mothra

She’s a giant moth that’s worshiped as a goddess by an indigenous tribe on the island she inhabits. She’s frequently either an ally or enemy to Godzilla, but is always an friendly monster towards humans. In most of her appearances she’s accompanied by twin fairies (yes really) that can summon her by singing her theme song (this is a legit thing).

Now the Pterodactyl is Rodan

He’s a big flying dinosaur that usually lives in volcanos. He can so fast he can create sonic books and sometimes he can breathe fire. Like Mothra he’s either an ally or enemy to Godzilla.

And lastly the three-headed dragon is King Ghidorah

He is The Joker to Godzilla’s Batman. Godzilla’s archnemesis! He’s a golden dragon from outer space that can breathe lighting. He’s such a big bad he’s declared “The Destroyer of Worlds” or “King of Terror”.
