She told her father that Socialism is a great idea and we should all accept it. After listening quietly, her father nodded his head, and they both went about their normal day.
A week later, the girl who had completed her chores and homework, went to her father to get her regular allowance of $20. However, her father only handed her $10 as her reward.
The girl was appalled and demanded to know why she only received $10 instead of the usual $20.
Her father responded, “Well, I gave the other $10 to your little brother.”
The girl insisted, “But that isn’t fair! I worked hard for my allowance! My brother shouldn’t get any and he didn’t even complete his chores this week!”
Her father replied, “But under a Socialist society, what you earn has to be shared equally with everyone else regardless of their contribution. If you want to keep what you worked hard to earn, then what you’re looking for is Capitalism, not Socialism.”
(True story I was told a long time ago. Try it on your kids if they ever come home indoctrinated and acting stupid. Socialism has horribly failed in every country that’s ever tried it.)
Imagine unironically thinking this is actually how socialism works
One day a boy comes home from school and tells his mother how everybody should have Capitalism…
He told his mother capitalism is great and everybody should accept it. After listening attently his mother nodded her head and they both went about their day.
A week later when the boy had finished mowing the neighbors lawns he returned with 50 dollars in hand.
It was then his mother extended her hand and demanded 47 of the dollars. The son was outraged. “My labour produced 50 dollars! Why should you get almost all of it!?”
His mother responded. “I own the lawnmower you mowed those lawns with! Therefore i get 40 dollars. I took 7 more because i own the house you live in.”
The boy said “but that isn’t fair! I created that value!”
The mom responded “true but under Capitalism the vast majority of wealth goes to those who own the means. I own the means here. Therefore under capitalism i get most of the money you and your siblings earn mowing lawns. If you want a system where those who work the means control them youre looking for Socialism.”
(Story I came up with. Show your kids this when they come home indoctrinated capitalist, nationalistic fuckwits. Capitalism has destroyed our entire fuckin planet. Its destroyed every country that wasnt at the imperialist core)
