Yeah and plenty of people who like. Make their careers off of the Holocaust and care soooo deeply about it know nothing about Jewish culture outside of it and a lot of them actually wish we were dead so we could be perfect, tragic corpses, instead of living breathing people fighting against forced assimilation who don’t want to go to church, plus a lot of people are actively forgetting it by allowing white nationalist policy or making it into something where they will literally say “I don’t want the Jewish perspective” about… a largely Jewish genocide. Where 1/3 of the worlds Jewish population died. Which affected Jewish people in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Which had the effect of basically causing all of the explusions and mass migrations of the mid 20th century from Middle Eastern and African countries because people were rioting and trying to kill us, or the state was imprisoning us and taking our property. But no one talks about that either. No one talks about the fact that Egypt basically robbed its Jewish citizens and put them in camps in the 60s… except for Jews. No one talks about the huge outbursts of violence in Iran around the same time against Jews… except Jews. No one talks about Yemenite Jews at ALL… except Jews. No one talks about Ugandan Jews either… except Jews.
Don’t compare the Holocaust’s memorization to 9/11. Americans aren’t oppressed and never discussed outside of it. But we are.
