Which is why I’m saying y’all are completely high if you think voting is the solution to our problems.

I’m not saying don’t vote, because our immediate situation requires our involvement.

But!

We have to accept and eventually take action around the fact that the current american system, the system of Ben Franklin and Washington and yalls nigga Hamilton, was designed to keep the poor, poor, Black people enslaved and indigenous people landless.

Voting is partially just an acceptance of the status quo, which we are all acutely aware serves no one but the rich and gives privileges to whites, women included.

So if we can take that “eat the rich” energy and use it constructively to say, “Neither democrats or Republicans can save us, let’s design a new system built on sharing and empathy,” we will be headed in the right direction. If we build it, a better future will come.
