How do some people manage to just…not…get….that conservatives in this country and ONLY the conservatives have a public agenda to hurt people?

Day after day after day some Republican somewhere ends up saying that slavery wasn’t that bad or women should be executed for getting abortions or gay people should be stoned.

You can find ways in which Democratic goals and legislation can be flawed, inconvenience people, or harm people as a side effect, but you won’t find almost ANYONE other than conservatives actually making it their main platform and endgame to punish a whole race or religion.

It’s like they really believe the way they are is normal and the “other side” must just be hiding their equivalent goals to Murder all the Straights. They can’t wrap their head around the idea that they might be the only ones who have malice that extreme.

I thought it has been a pretty well known thing that democrats are just better at meticulously handling their image, they really aren’t necessarily any less malicious in their goals.

 If these democrats are attending the same dinner parties and sharing laughs and drinks with the republicans who ARE open about the minority groups they want to harm, how can they possibly have better intentions?
