Okay, but what do they do when they’re being shot at, or walk into a situation where other people are being shot? I’m not being a smartass; truly want to hear what your suggested solution is.
Yeah okay, that includes the innocent people in this scenario, not just police officers sooo…???

me explaining to the end: The police, as an institution, is the consolidation of the armed working class into a single group that acts with impunity and defends the interests of the ruling class against their own. I don’t have a problem with guns, I have a problem with a state monopoly of violence.
Literally yesterday, police entered a situation like the one described. It was in a bar, in the Chicago suburbs. A white patron opened fire in the bar, and a black security guard restrained the shooter. The guard was armed, and had a valid license. The police arrived and immediately shot the security guard. That’s why I’d rather cops be disarmed, even walking into a situation like this.
An armed working class protects itself. An armed police force protects the boot on our necks.
