The nature of capitalism is such that it inevitably leads to ever-increasing inequality of power and resources. There is no form of capitalism that does not end up this way.
For capitalism to function, it requires a worker class to produce more than they are compensated for. The excess compensation goes to a non-worker class. Because the non-worker class’s income is not limited by their physical abilities, they can develop much larger levels of income much more quickly. This enables them to hold greater power over the worker class, hostaging necessities of life such as food and shelter, to ensure that the worker class remains available to the exploitation of the non-worker class.
After a point, the wealthy under capitalism become so alienated from the poor that they no longer even perceive money as a tool to fulfill their physical and psychological needs, but rather, as a high score in a multiplayer game.
This leads to vast psychological rifts between the powerful wealthy and the disenfranchised poor that render the wealthy consistently unwilling and unable to understand that real, human people are dying.
