No, hun, they do exist. There are loads of people who consider themselves “non-dysphoric” trans kids, who either a) grow out of it and come to their senses or b) transition and end up hating themselves and detransitioning.
There a LOADS of cis people pretending to be trans because, guess what? Being LGBT, especially being trans, is the new emo phase, because being trans has those same cringe emo type fads and awful art pieces, and is hyper focused on being about how their “so not normal uwu” in the same way emos were “so not normal xD”
History is repeating itself, just with a different phase for outcast teens to go through.
Alright so:
Non-dysphoric trans people are trans and there is no evidence to say that non-dysphorics are overwhelmingly cis or are regretting transition. Yes there are a few cases for both but there’s also some cases of dysphoric people being cis and/or regretting transition so I guess being trans isn’t real and everyone is cis! Thanks to those few cases, I guess there’s conclusive evidence for the whole group!
Being LGBT/trans is not the new “emo phase”, but as it’s being more widely accepted, more people are coming to terms with their gender or sexuality when before they might have suffered silently or never even entertained the thought of being LGBT, and may never have realized it.
There’s no jump to pretend to be LGBT, it’s just safer for LGBT youth to be open, so more are. By saying that being lgbt is the new emo phase, you sound exactly like my 67 year old grandma who says “all the kids are turning gay these days” and thinks it’s a huge societal problem, and doesn’t even realize that I’m gay and trans.

Yes it is the new emo phase, look at the LGBT community, it’s no longer a political movement at this point. We’re all playing minority bingo with each other and collecting our rainbow pin badges while people are literally being murdered.
It’s following the exact same patterns of the old school emo community, and is literally becoming a joke. Give it 10 years, the LGBT community will fade back into the background of people’s collective consciousness because the teens will have found a new fad to latch on to, and this current generation will have left a permanent shit stain on the community that the rest of us will have to clean up. Your grandma is right, all the kids are turning gay these days, because it’s become a hip trendy fashion statement.
