If liberal victor hugo could understand in 1862 that sex work is a result of the set of affairs fostered by the dominant mode of production and that sex workers can only be helped through the alteration of this state of affairs (and therefore the mode of production itself) and are only harmed by criminalization and ostracization, I fail to see why self-proclaimed leftists in 2018 cannot reach the same conclusion
