I might never have come out to myself if not for trans tumblr, including the ‘adult’ part.
Seeing such a range of people’s bodies, at all kinds of stages and types of transition, allowed me to be less hard on my own, until I was able to believe that transitioning was a realistic option for me.
The ways trans folk show themselves here is so different to other places I’d come across images of transness – definitely radically different to news, tv shows, or pornhub – and helped me learn to see the humanity in that part of myself.
Without a place to explore, share, and understand the ‘adult’ parts of transition (which yep, includes sex), I could still be a sad dude. I hate to think of the others who could stay locked up like that for the lack of healthy opportunities to learn.
